Tube Trouble
Hi There, I got my first XT660Z just last weekend - hooray !!! Very excited.
Bought it privately for not a lot of money as I knew it had done a few cruel Ks in the Northern Territories and would need a bit of fixing up. Got it back home and stripped it down - "shock horror" the front tubes are bent. (about 12 mm off true) Any one have any experience or suggestions. Only a minor setback - still excited!!! |

you mean the chrome stanchions of the front forks are bent?
if so, you can replace those, for not too much money. |

Yeah the chrome stanchion tubes are bent. If they had a nice slow bend in them I would consider straightening them, but they have a small kink in both of them just below the lower yoke.
I have decided the replace the stanchions - can get them from the Europe for about $250 - $300 each. |

Thanks for that.
I have been looking on Wemoto.com.au and thinking of buying the stanchions and a load of other bits from them. I need a new front rim if any one has any suggestions. |
