Caliper service kits!
Hi Gents, came across this supplier for caliper parts and thought I'd share.
I've not personally used them yet so can not comment on their service www.powerhouse.uk |

I've bought their kits before but found I can buy the 2 rear seals only elsewhere on ebay for less than 5 now. I'll try and find the listing.
M and p do list the 28mm front seals only but never seam to have sufficient stock http://www.mandp.co.uk/caliper-seals...n-od-28mm.html I found generally it wasn't the seal causing the pistons to bind but corrosion on the calipers internal portion that was pushing the seals out.

I ride all year round and in winters there is assive amounts of salt on the road. Conclusion is that after 2 years or so my rear brake from the ninja got stuck and had to renew it in shop. Now got my XT and waqnt to prevent this from happening. Can I just remove the brake and clean as much as possible with brake cleaner or isn't this any good for the rubber sealings ??? |

The 2 seals on their own are on ebay item number 281207212663 @3.95.
The piston needs removed to fit them anyway but this helps evaluate and remove any caliper corrosion at the seal recess and inspect the piston circumference condition. Could remove the piston through fluid pressure or air pressure. As you say clean all bits and reassemble with red rubber grease.
