HEL Braided Hoses any pit falls?

Hiya guys,
This is for the XT660X I have ordered the double hh pads and also from HEL front and rear braided hoses. They take about 3/4 days to be made as they are made to order then a couple of days delivery. Are there any problems I may encounter when fitting these. Please could you advice before I start what problems if any I am going to come across.

Much appreciated Steve

If the lines you have ordered are the same length as those coming off, then it's pretty straight forward. All I'd say from experience is feed the lines through wear they should go before fastening anything in place to check the routing and there's nothing amiss. This also gives you a chance to check the angle of the banjos at each end is correct (they do not rotate on Hel lines).

Thank you for that info any suggestions on the front brake where the old braided goes down the protector tube and then is bolted at the bottom keeping it away from the moving wheel? if you know what I mean.

Thank You Steve

I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with the specific routing for the front brake on the X. You'll have to see if someone who own's one and has changed the front line can help.

However, you should be able to reuse all the existing clamps along the route. It's just that, being thinner in diameter, the Hel lines may require a rubber packing piece to allow the clamp to grip the hose. Usually a sliver of old inner tube will do the job.
