Good day blokes,

I am a bit unsure where to get hold of a power commander.
I struggle even to find something on the internet as I'm unsure of what models of powercommanders are compatible with my 2005 xt660x.
Can anyone enlighten me on what to go for?

PC III usb is what you should look for. It will work just fine with XTX/R up to 2007 models.

Is that price the going rate for them? Because if that is its probably going to cost me close to 2 grand for the two akrapovic slip-ons and a power commander which is heaps! I suppose if you are really after that sound its gonna happen hey!🙈

well, this listing is for a new one. This is a good price for a new PC III. However you could easily find a used one from another member at nearly half this price.
Place a new post requesting a used PC III, or just wait till you spot a used one on ebay. It is worth waiting if you are going to save a few quids mate.
You can always go for the Acrapovic and fit the PC III later on. Your bike will run just fine even without the PC III... but when you finally fit it... you will LOVE it!!!
Remember when you fit the PCIII that a DNA Stage 1 filter (at least) is nessesary, if you buy both Stage 1 and 2 it will be even better... as well as a new iridium spark plug DENSO IU22 will be what you need to complete the deal
