Popping & Farting

Just picked-up another Ten. Bog standard as far as I know/can tell. It farts and pops a lot on closing throttle down change. Don't remember my others doing this as much. Normal? anything to check? something amiss?
Thanks.

Either block the AIS pipe (or remove the whole setup) if you don't like it, otherwise leave it alone and enjoy the soundtrack!

I blocked mine up and also turned the TPS to full richness (clockwise when looking at it face on)to avoid any popping...(I have Leo Vince end cans on)..all is working OK to date and since the last 20000kms...the motor also pulls better and is faster up the gears...you could try that first and experiment?

Thanks guys. Does blocking it give poorer fuel consumption? If so, I'll put up with it, as I'm more bothered about economy than performance.

It is an emission device & has no affect on the running of the motor & will not affect the fuel consumption at all.

Since blocking mine, I miss that noise slightly!

I do get an unexpected 'shotgun' blast every now and again which is quite fun.

Just block it, it won't affect anything except the noise.
