Changing Brake pads xt660x
Hi Fellas,
I just got a new set of Ferodo Rear Brake pads and I'm replacing them myself. I have already replaced the front ones a few months ago but this is going to be my first time to replace the rear pads. There's no rocket science I know, fairly straight forward. On the manual it says thet you have to remove the rear wheel and then pull out the bracket with the caliper. I just wanted to ask if you can just unscrew the caliper from the bracket without having to pull out the wheel before trying it myself and break something. Cheers :-) |

I changed the rear pads on my xtr without taking the rear wheel or the caliber out. Easy job maybe 10minutes..
Otherwise I did it like in the manual. Although I'm not sure if xtx has the same caliber. Maybe someone can verify this. Sent from my Lumina using Tapatalk

Cheers dude. Thought about that too. How did you do it? Did you just remove the pin and got them out?

Yes removed the pin, took out the old ones, pushed the caliber piston in and put in the new ones. You just a need a long tool to tap the pin back through he wheel spokes.
