or can you think of better things to spend �300 on ?

I know TT make some quality stuff, expensive yes, deliveries can be, erm, sporadic, but you pays your money and takes your choice, but I can't understand why anyone would pay that kind of money for sun glasses.

Don't think I've ever paid more than �15, and all the sunglasses I've owned in my life probably don't add up to that much.


(I think my current ones should have cost more than �15, but they arrived in a JMo Dakar 2011 supporters pack, so as far as I'm concerned I didn't pay anything for them )

Yep, it does seem that you only ever loose/sit on/scratch expensive sunglasses!

We started buying Bolle safety glasses at work. There are plenty of styles and most are impact resistant or shatterproof. There about �5 a pair depending on style. Some of the hardcore cyclists are using them after loosing/ breaking thier �250 oakleys and have rated them as good as or better than the expensive 'O's

I have a pair of lightweight safety glasses which were on special offer at Jewsons (builder's merchants in UK). I got them for things like strimming the garden (spectacle-style so no misting up) but in fact the optical quality is good enough for using on the bike and they seem to keep the wind out of my eyes OK. Cost under a fiver.

I got the yellow lenses, and they certainly make the contrast better on dull or rainy days. An added bonus is that they make the world look a bit more cheerful.
