Giant Loop luggage
I priced up some Giant Loop panniers from Touratech the other day 700 odd for soft luggage, I was a tad shocked to say the least. Same panniers on E-bay from the states 401. How can they justify the massive difference?
I have a mind to tell them. Rich |

Welcome to planet Touratech!
Try Adventure-Spec for Giant Loop luggage... http://www.adventure-spec.com/defaul.../panniers.html It'll be 50% cheaper (at least)! |

In fact I reckon I could fly over to Germany, buy some Siskiyou saddle bags, get back home again and I'd still have paid less than in their UK shop! |

Take a look at the Ortlieb bags, not quite as robust as the GL or Magadan, but mine have bit the dust a few times and survived.
They fit on the Z without the need for any racks with the straps under the seat. http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/motorc...-panniers.html Nick. |

i fancy those magadan bags but with racks its nearer 550 quid
i think the loop system is a solution to a xr problem rather than a xt the ortileb bags are now coming to 4 years old ..i cant knock em at all ..i suport them and tie strap them to twin tool tubes ..they have been 1000 percent waterproof and 100 percent secure i would say if your off roading they need a strapping point undernieth otherwise they will buck .. ..i know the tool tube is not everyones bag but if you look under the o/e eshausts making some bag supports and loop tie points is pretty easy a nice by product of doing them this way it keeps the width o the bike right down even with the bags stuffed full ...me klr had frames on it when it came but she is way wide using the same panniers ... no complaints for the money ...they are back to morroco in october and im not worried about taking them in the least Last edited by minkyhead; 28-06-13 at 20:59. |
