Anyone else plasti-dipped their bike?

The blue plastics on my 05 X were looking a bit tired and since I recovered my seat in black I thought why not make the whole bike black.
For those that don't know Plasti-dip is flexible rubber like coating that is supposed to be hard wearing and can be peeled of at any time.
I used 2 cans to spray 5 coats on all the blue plastics. I didn't spray the inside of the tank covers or the headlight surround.

Awesome! How we do you think that will fair on a bike that used off road quite a bit? Do you think one good drop will end up with me having to peel the rest of it off or does it stand impact quite well?

Videos on youtube suggest that it is quite tough but I would think that any impact with gravel etc would probably damage it.

Nice job man!! Now I know what to do with the worn out blue parts on my XTX.
I still have the original heat shields and thinking for plasti-dipping them to. That should make a nice effect.
The only problem is that I still have the original seat with the blue in it. Maybe I leave a blue-ish design on the side panels. Like the Yamaha logo or something. I don't know yet but you gave me a nice inspiration

Looks Great mate.
coupla questions please?
Is that 'Matt' Black?
Do you need a primer?
1 can?
Who did your seat cover?

I was looking at black plastic paint the other day, ie. primer and flexible 'paint' but this may be just as good.
