I went to my dealer and asked for siracs but they're now discontinued and said anikee's have replaced them!

Are anikees any good? Anything i need to watch out for with a brand new rear tyre?? Xtr

I had Anakee 2s on a little BMW I had for a few months. Very good on tarmac, wet or dry. Can't comment on off-road as I didn't do any on that bike. I'd be happy to have them again.

I had the 2's on the Tenere. Hated them. I could spin the rear wheel , at speed in heavy rain. They were on the bike for 900 miles and I took them off.

However, Tiger riders love them, so I might give them a go on the 800XC when the time comes, different bikes react differently...... or I might just stick with Conti's.

I just instaled anakee 3. I had the original tourance, old. I'm 90% street user that's why i went for this street profile. All i can say is that they are more silent and the bike lean easier. Hard braking is smoother, but that is probably general compared with any old tyre. Didn't test them on rain yet. If it didn't show up the new anakee 3 probably i would have choose pirelli scorpion trial or new tourance next steet tyre for this bikes.

I am putting the new Anakee 3's on my XT660 (2006) this coming Sunday (1 June 2013). I have been told that the Anakee 2's are still the best as they have been tried and tested and can perform. Just like "xtreme" I also ride 90% street which is why I have chosen to try out the anakee 3's. From the specs that I have read up on, they are giving better grip in almost all conditions and longer life on the tyre too. My dealer is giving them to me at a discounted price so I can give them feedback as to the tyre. I will try post again in the future regarding the quality of the tyre.
By the way, what are the average prices people are paying?
I just got a set (front 90/90/21 and back 130/80/17) for R2100 (South African Rands for international users).
