What happened to the glass (plastic) of your front lamp? Did it melt because of the heat, when you had your 110w high/low-beam lamps on? ;-)

The only problem I have had was one screw holding the mount block to the light housing came loose, I just used some loctite and they never worked loose again. No water in the lights even after pressure cleaning bugs off them.

They appear to be exactly the same lamps as the Vision X Solstice but quite a bit cheaper? I too had exactly the same problem with the lamp body to bracket screw vibrating loose on my Vision X version and Loctite was the also the best solution. Moral is, if you get some, put Loctite on the threads from the outset.
If the CREE lamps are the same the Vision X, then make sure you do get the spot beam. The fog beam is next to useless as a driving lamp and the eliptical 15/45 beam isn't that much better. |

I too have the VisionX fogs. other than a DLR they are useless. They look very bright, but don't put any real illumination down on the road. I found the brackets rubbish too, too much vibration.
I have attached some build instructions for a set of steel lamp brackets, you will need access to a welder and a vice to make them, but they are sturdy, they don't vibrate and they mount to the lower mounting bolt for the headlight assembly ( I can send you fitting instructions too if you wish)
