XTX 06 vs 07

Well, I am down to two bikes. Both have the same mileage - 20000 kms - and the 06 model comes with fresh tyres, chain sprockets, bashplate, acerbis busters, whereas the 07 comes with a top case mounted, tyres that have to go w/ a pair of new ones. Price just about the same. 150 euros more for the 07. Which one should I choose? Are there any significant advantages that the 07 has over the 06 apart from a new swingarm and different plastics?
Any info would be highly appreciated!
Thanx a bunch!

I believe 07 is when the O2 sensor was introduced on R/X, and they have a different ECU with single spark ignition. Which is better or worse regarding surging I couldn't say - but someone will I'm sure!

take the 07 model. I have an 07 model and am really happy with it. the swingarm alone makes all the difference in my opionion. everytime i look at an 06 or earlier model I appreciate my 07 more.

I would also choose the 07 bike despite the extras on the 06. The newer bike will always hold its value better!! Good luck....

Mine's an '11 plate on a 2010 model.... Fuelling is 95% sorted: still a bit nasty trying to hold indicated 35mph in town though. I much prefer the swingarm & front light design over the older models. Apparently the bike has a couple more BHP than the older model also(??) Will an XT really hold its value?

Well value is a relative term and no bike holds its value well, you are quite correct. But the main factor is the year of registration so the newer bike is worth a little more in the book, that was my point. And mine is also a 2010 model I think on an 11 plate, great fun!!!
