XTZ screen buffeting

Does anyone else have an issue with the airflow over the screen ?
Im 5ft 10" and the aerodynamics around the screen are leaving me deaf and with a headache. Ive tried it with an Arai helmet and a Bell helmet and the Bell is better but theres still a lot of bad airflow around the screen.
Has anyone tried other screens or bolt on deflectors? Any Recommendations.

Check out this thread, I think it covers everything in the great XTZ screen debate!

Mine used to give me a bad headache from the buffeting too, removed the screen and no more headache! try it and see if it helps, i then cut it in half and still got a little headache but not as bad!

I had the same problem, 5.10" on a good day.

Skidmarx do a taller screen. No more buffeting. And made in England!

I was also getting it but found it was coming from slope at front
Of fuel tank. Next time you ride put your hand behind handlebars
Where fuel tank slopes up at front and you will feel so much air
Being directed straight at your head.
I blocked front just under headlight with some neatly cut perspex
And it stopped buffeting straight away.
Give it a try.
Worked for me matey

Replaced mine with an XT1200Z solved the screen buffeting and a lot more comfortable/faster to boot ..
Slight pishtaking aside it made me realise how bad/tiring the buffeting on the XT660z was as I used it for runs to Leeds and back, I had sort of ignored it thinking it was the helmet (Hornet DS) that was the problem and not the screen .

No screen worked for me but I like having a screen so that was not an option. I tried the plate under the headlight. That helped marginally, but after fitting spotties that was removed.
Next was repositioning the screen tilting back further (I thought the screen looked too vertical). Thought I had success but eventually realised it still wasn't right.
Next was cutting down the screen by an inch or so. Then another inch or so. Still no good.
A new higher wider screen should solve everything... Nope.
So last but not least tried a wind deflector mounted to the handlebar clamp deflecting the rush of updates and BINGO...no more buffeting/vibrating, with either my new touring screen or my now sporty chopped down OEM screen.
Fair dinkum it's like riding a whole different new bike.
I know we're all affected differently with our body heights but strongly recommend trying this if you suffer. Will try and post a photo.
