brand new tenere 660 problem

Hi, to all, i already bought a new tenere 660, everything was perfect, until last week, i was riding, and after 60km, i stop for a phone call and when i tried to start the engine again, it didn't start, it was like the tank was out of gas, i had to push the bike with the key in on position in 3 gear, the bike was like "chuga-chuga-chuga" and then it starts, after that, everything was ok, i stopped a few more times and starts ok, until 3 days later, i took my tenere, starts perfect, and go for a ride, after 30km the engine stops, and i could not start the engine again, i had to go for a truck and pick it up and then took it to the yamaha dealer, but as a matter of fact, the dealer is the worse, they had not even scanned the engine, the mechanic guy told me, that maybe the failure is the gas pump, or the fuel injection sensor, that is inside the seat.
any one of you has this problem?
my bike is just 2200km
i really appreciate any comment

Is the engine trouble warning light on, or rather flashing with ignition in the "on" position?

OK. Now what is the sequence of flashes? Count how many long flashes and short flashes there are before a gap and the flashing starts again? This will give a fault code.

For example:

long long short short = 22

long long long long short short short = 43

This is the first new bike I have had in a while, I ride older bikes and do my own maintenence normally.
I was very dissappointed in the Yam dealer I took the bike to for the 6000 mile service. They really did not know the difference between well maintained and bearly maintained.
When my regulator connection problem occurred I did some investigation myself but the bike was away from home, it was cold and I had limited tools so I went to the closed dealer and explained what the situation was, they were all for sticking a new alternater in at 500 euro a pop! I mean, there was no interest at all to try and INVESTIGATE, you know, like good bike mechanics should.......
