Which chain

I need to replace my chain, so intend replacing the sprockets as well, there are two chains I am looking at the x ring gold DID or the o ring gold DID. I assume the x ring is the better unless there is another, can someone advise please?

X ring should hold the grease better in the rollers. But the problem with my chains on the Tenere is they do not wear to the limit but develops stiff links due to side play on the rear sprocket. I tried the ZVM but they did not last longer so I use the cheaper VX one (DID 520 ZX iso 520 ZVM)

I shouldn't get too hung up on whether to go X-ring or O-ring, just make sure you get a good chain and that a DID is. The X-ring was originally designed to be lower friction chain (when compared with O-rings), useful on race bikes, but on our type of machines it isn't going to make a whole heap of difference.

O.K. managed to get a really good deal on an x ring, same price as o ring, DID, am going to change the lot this weekend coming. Question now is the nut holding on the small 15T sprocket at the engine side, is this loosened clockwise or anti clockwise, only questioning due to the drive direction?
