Hi, got a set of off the road 28mm fat bar risers/clamp set plus 25mm in height for my tenere, my query is ive got yamaha hand guards at the moment on the standard yam bars, will the yam handguards go back on to the fat bars without much hassle, if not whats the best after market hand guards that fit with the brake res etc, i dont want to buy barkbusters or any other make then have to modify them.
i,m also fitting a rallemoto steering damper hence the 25mm bar risers having to go on, thought i,d change the bars etc the same time.
i thought i,d check before i start and get the best bits to do the job in one hit with no messing about after trying to get things to fit.

Put the Yamaha handguards in the bin. They won't fit back on, and they're not that good anyway.

I've got Barkbuster Storms on mine, didn't have any issue with the levers/reservoir. I've got conventional 7/8" braced bars though (Renthal 613)

Fitted the pro taper bars today and off the road clamps/20mm bar riser kit. had to fit 20mm bar riser ready to install the steering damper thats on its way from oz. (ralle moto)worst part of the job was drilling out the heads on the sheer bolts on the ignition barrel ready for the steering damper to bolt in to. its getting there!. next on the list is rear hyper pro spring and front springs, bark busters on thier way, then finally going next week to have pcv and dyno set up. http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/...e530/001-1.jpg
