Oil in the airbox

Checked the air filter today and noticed a little oil in the bottom of the airbox, not a lot but more than just specks. This normal? I do spend some time with the bike on it's side periodically when enthusiasm exceeds ability greenlaning so wondered if this could be the cause ??

Ive noticed this myself. It drains away to a tube that sticks out the base of the bike. Ive unplugged it and drained it off but some more back again. Someone said to me that it was due to riding in damp conditions.

I'll keep an eye just in case, can't seem to find any rational explanations

"they all do that, sir"

but it is worse on the '08 models and can be improved by replacing the air box breather with the '09 model. Do a search for it on the forum.

but mine still does it a bit on occasion, especially after longer motorway rides.
