MTC Exhausts

Spoke to the guy at MTC last week and it seems it may not be long before they can supply some for the Tenere (awaiting confirmation from a company that is going to produce the link pipe apparently).

Anyway, here's the question; being a skinflint, is it worth just fitting the cans and not spending out loads of dosh on a power commander? What'll it gve me apart from a MUCH better sound?

Opinions welcome!

You also gain a few kilograms of weight with cans. I don't know about the Tenere but the xt-x/r are a bit lean already with standard exhaust, with cans it will go even leaner = more jerky on throttle. So in my opinion you should at least get the kev fuel mod, thats only 64AUD. With those two you will at least gain 2 or 3 hp I think.

The plus points are, very nice sound (imo) and a pretty big weight saving over stock. However if its power gains you wish for then your money would be best spent on dna filters and a kev fuel mod.

Cheers Gents, much appreciate the advice. Seems a good way to go then is a DNA filter, Kev's fuel mod and, if money permits, a set of cans......I'm a sucker for a nice noise

I know I can fit the cans and the filter but how difficult is it to fit Kev's fuel mod.......I should say I'm not the most gifted of people in the mechanical sense!

The Kev fuel mod is very easy to fit & tune anyone can do it, the mod comes with full fitting instructions with step by step photos with 100% back up.

You will smile even more with the MTC cans. Extra smiles are good.

I have a PCIII and Stage 1 & 2 Filters plus other usual mods....... but the MTC cans would be the last mod they prised from my cold dead hands if I had to give any of them up.

Selina

PS: The above is of course the opinion of an XTX rider, make of that what you will
