Is this chain sprocket and kit ok?

Hi guys, just a quick one:

If you were at the lakes you may know that I need to replace the chain/sprockets on my X. Is this kit a good choice: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-XT660X-...item23003bde33

Thanks

Harry

However, that's quite expensive (I know the postage is included).

These three from B&C Express come up a tenner cheaper (although I don't know what postage is). Can't fault Renthal/Tsubaki kit, or the service I've had from B&C in the past...

So are DID and Tsubaki equal in terms of quality? I think the DID is more expensive as it is an X ring rather than O?

I don't think you'll go wrong with either brand, and both will do both O and X ring chains.

I've just put one of these chains on the TTR.

There is more sideways movement on these than the DID, which makes me a little concerned, but time will tell.

If I had both in front of me, and the difference was a 10, then I'd pay the extra. The DID just feels better, although I can't actually fault the Alpha.

Hi guys, thanks for the advice so far. I have narrowed it down to 3 choices:

DID X ring, doesn't say what sprockets 75 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YAMAHA-XT660-S...item3ef7399c67

DID X ring VM gold, 'high quality steel sprockets' 107 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-XT660X-...item23003bde33

Tsubaki X ring gold, renthal hard anodised sprockets 109 http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/drive-...ring-gold.html

Any thoughts on whether it's worth getting the gold chains rather than the standard DID X ring?

Will there be major differences between the 'high quality steel sprockets' and renthal hard anodised sprockets?

Thanks

Harry

I went ahead and purchased the DID X ring VM gold, 'high quality steel sprockets' for two reasons.
A) GULG said so
B) I don't care about extra weight from the steel sprockets, would rather longer life.

Thanks again for all your help!
