Help with my new carbon cans!!!!!

Ok so i have just had my ccc full lenght ss ovals and im a little puzzeled

First, dose anyone know where to buy or what clamp to use to attach the new link pipe to the old exhaust pipe (down under the footpegs) as the old ones is welded on to the old exhausts, i managed to get it off but it is too big to clamp the new link pipe????

second, i have 3 brackets that are the same size and one that is much much bigger, i think this is just a mix up at ccc, will have to ask them 2moro

also i can't seem to get the exhausts to sit stright do you have to bend and shape the brackets that come with the exhausts???

HELP IS NEEDED

Many thanks

I used stainless jubilees from Halfords for the link pipes.

The brackets should all be the same size.

Yes you have to bend (carefully) the brackets so the attachment is vertical from the exhaust close to the hanger (i.e. offset inboard).

P.S. Don't forget to re-use the spacers from your existing cans.

The spacers fit between the mounting points on the frame and the lugs on the brackets to space the exhausts away from the bike. If you don't fit them the exhaust will foul the tyre when the suspension is in compression. They should be there on the existing exhausts. Some people have made thicker-walled spacers because the existing ones can allow vibration which may lead to bracket failure. One ex-member of the site had several sets of brackets because he did not ensure they were properly fitted - fit the exhausts loosely and adjust the pipe run correctly then tighten the link pipe connectors (jubilees) and the pipe into silencer box lastly tighten the brackets which hold the box itself.

This method has worked successfully for a set of CCC carbon longs on one of my bikes and the CCC carbon stubbies on the other bike. I did not use thicker-walled spacers.

This picture may help, you should see the spacer between the clamp and frame.
