Dyno Question

Hi,

I'm currently running a PC3 with stage 1 and 2 DNA filters on my XT660X using the map from the powercommander site (stock exhausts - stage one and two filters) its made a noticable change but from what i've read i really need to get the thing set up on the dyno.

My question is when setting up on the dyno, do they concentrate only on fuel map or do they set up the idle mixture too (CO settings normally accessed via the dash)?

if they don't set this up on the dyno, how do i do thins properly or is it trial and error?

cheers for any help

Before you arrive at the dyno.

1/ Tyres pumped to correct pressures, used a road tyre not a trail or knobbly tyre.
2/ Adjust chain to correct tension & must be lubed, chain must be in good condition.
3/ Full tank of fresh fuel, as some runs can take a few hours to complete.
4/ The AIS must be blocked off otherwise a incorrect A/F ratio will be seen by the dyno tuner & the fuel map will be wrong.

Make sure they use Tune link software to build the fuel map, this software is the best & quickest way to make a fuel map. I would not recommend them to hand build your fuel map when you are paying top $ for the tune, they must use Tune Link.

99% of fuel maps are made from 2000rpm upwards, so set your CO 1 back to standard before going for the dyno tune & they will be able to adjust the dash to get the correct A/F ratio at idle.
