I've drilled the metal tank of my old super tenere a few years ago. Then i emptied the tank and filled it with water just to be on the safe side.
The plastic tank of the pony was easier. Just a piece of towel into it and drilled the hole with first 3mm, then 4.5mm and then 6mm. Against every advise i used a electric cordless drill. Figured that the motor was so far from the opening that ist would not be a problem. Besides it was windy so my garage was pretty good ventilated. |
