Hello there.

Today I fitted a set of Leo's on my bike as well, what a difference :). But does anybody have any hints on what to do with the large hole there is now under the seat.
I reckon the underside of my seat, battery area etc will fill up with dirt, water etc like this.. The only thing i could think off quickly is make a rubber flab out of an old innertube.
Soe folks at the Dutch XT660 forum ointed out his real nice storage someone has posted over here, but that's a little out of my league..

regards, Jurre

Hi therehmmany photos of this gapping hole in your life? Thinking of getting a set of Leos next year, what are the improvements btw? Would I still be able to put back the MetalMule pannier frames? Theyre roughly the same size as the OE when fitted arent they? :confused5:
Cheers

Thanksbut Ive already fixed & fitted the MM frames to my bike :cry[1]:. A ride to the nearest Leo Vince supplier next Spring then...:112:

I dont think there is much of a difference between all the racks.

I bought my Leo from Ebay, a guy from italy.
Just costed over 400.

Look under the back of the bike, see that big silencer? Well if you take that off, there's a big hole. It's that sort of size. Water and crap does get flung up and over, I know I had some LVs.
As for improvements, a quick dyno run showed 47.75bhp

They aren't really any lighter than OE, and in the end I decided they weren't worth it so sold them.
I wouldn't expect any problems with the MM pannier frames, my home made frames are very close fitting and were fine with the LVs

Nice Bike

I have the same pipes and never tried them without the baffles. They are loud enough with them in.

Have fun pop, pop, pop etc..

Nelis 10-02-11 17:52

At first i didn't have to use the baffles.
But at 15000km it suddenly got lots of db's louder?

Right now i cant drive past animals without scaring them, birds/horses fly/run away at 300m when it pops.
So since 5000km i drive with the baffles in, still louder than it was at first.

Hope it will be back to normal after the 20000km check.
Expect it to be back from the dealer at the end of next week.

I got the Leovinces shortly after I bought the bike in june 08 and I love them! Much less poppin(almost none), since the AIS has been blocked, much more relaxed ridin', I think. Just the warm thumpersound.....
For the rest, it's still standard, no Powercommander or other airfilter or such and it runs just fine with still good fuel economy(1:25 on backroads and 1:20 on fast highway stretches).
Greetz, Hans.

Nelis 11-02-11 17:20

I wouldn't want them without the popping.
It doesn't pop all the time, so its no problem.

I dont see why it would be more relaxed.
