Can anyone tell what the diameter of the stock AFAM handlebar is? In mm please. My dealer needs to know this so he can order the right mounting kit. Cheers! ;)

No cutting of throtle tubes or any of that crap, 10 minute fit.

That sounds like a good deal then Freeloader......glad they are ok, Any chance of any pics of them fitted to your bike?
Cheers mate.

Finally made my decision....Re. the hand guards.
I called my dealer today, just to see how much he would charge for the Yamaha guards, and to fit them, ready for me to collect the bike, next weekend. He looked up the price while I was on the phone, he came back with 62.99, and I was waiting for his charge to fit.....but before I said anything, he said, "how about I get them in and fit them for 50????" ........as you have guessed I snatched his hand off (metaphorically)....So that's it now then. Will be the Yamaha hand guards in BLACK. They seem to come highly recommended on her, and quality has finally triumphed over colour coordination.
Only 9 days to go now......

They are a very well put together hand guard and where designed to be abused and used, they could give better weather protection as even with the plastic extra they just about keep the worse off, but that metal bar will take some wing mirrors off before your fingers get hurt.

hehe

Cheers Tony...yeah finally took the plunge. Popping into my dealer tomorrow to give them my insurance so they can register it ready for next Saturday, cant wait. Then its home to fit both sets of cans, one at a time, to see which ones I like best, fit crash bungs, XT660.com stickers and then out for some miles, if its dry.

maxwell, call me fair weather biker if you like, BUT, me, on a bike needing weather protection???? these words rarely go in the same sentence these days... Grew out of that all weather riding about 20 years ago, the body dont like it at my age. It's strictly for dry days and fun. unless I get caught out, but I hope not.
