What centres are those Kev ? I measure my existing ones as 90mm.

Kev 28-01-08 12:58

New link centers are 74mm. Are you sure the 05 model is 90mm, as the 07 model is 84mm.

I checked the part numbers between the 04 to 07 X & R models, the part numbers are all the same for all years, so they all should be the same length.

I have re-checked the zero calibration on my digital calipers and verified by metal rule the centres as 90mm - in situ from bolt centre to bolt centre. The bolt centre to bolt near edge is 84mm.

The only marking on the links I can see (again in situ) is 5 K on the outside of each piece.

I hope my weight hasn't stretched them? :naka::pjrlaugh_61OD3G:

But I did have a VW Beetle once which started cutting out when the fuel pump push-rod broke. When they got the newly ordered part saying it was for that engine number it was too long and would not allow the pump to seat. They put a new fuel pump in and only charged me for the push-rod.

I'll have two sets of the risers anyway please.

Maxwell and everyone else. Please note that Kev said that the raising kits are not yet ready, please be patient a little and they should be with Kev soon.

As for the fork spacer kit, Maxwell1234567890 please proceed to your order here: http://www.xt660.com/site/node/135

The links are in for plating & should be back with me by the end of this week.

Thanks for your feed back motonacio. There may well be a misprint in the 07 parts manual showing the 04 to 06 part number as being the same, lets get to the bottom of this. My centers are 84mm on my 07 model & your 05 XTX is 90mm.

The 04 to 06 XTX has part number of 1D2 F217F-00
The 07 & 08 XTX models have a part number of 1D2 F217F-00.
Your 04 to 06 XTR has a part number of 5VK F217F-00.
The XTR has a 5VK before its part numbers this is usualy ony a model number with the rest of the numbers deplicting the part.

Can someone please measure a XTX & XTR 04 to 06 model bottom links from bolt center to bolt center, incase the part numbers are different to the 07 models. I do know the R has a different rear shock & there now seems to be a different size link as well.

Ok I have confirmation that the XTX 05 model has a center to center of approx 85mm the same as the 07 model.
Can someone please confirm these measurements for a XTR.
