My only gripe is the spray from the pants mudguard covers the headlight in black stuff in winter. Sorts out the headlight problem however. You can barely see it after a few days. ;)

If you're riding in traffic, you're going to get road grime all over you and the bike whenever it rains anyway, no matter how well your front 'guard works on the XTX. When it comes to the light not turning off, the last thing I'm worried about is the pitifully dim headlight the XT comes with as standard compared to how loud my pipes are at 5 in the morning.

I re -member in the 1950s 60s the scramblers used old inner tube mud flap on the front of the front mudguard,LOL:emoticons:
