My only gripe is I sold my XTX a few months back, man do I miss it now! Roll on decent weather and I will be back, maybe not with the X, but you never know.

I knew there was a reason I wanted to turn the lights off .....(no ugly-women jokes please..)

My battery is now flat as a flat thing - and push-starting an XT in my decrepid state of health is not an option.....

Battery replaced under warranty - not even the most minor quibble from the dealer. - First service - free of charge. That's service for you.

well i just drive with the car,, on a rainly day,, that sorts out that mudguard.

You can switch off the light however, just turn the ignition off, hahahaha

I know this is an old thread, however I think I know where he was coming from with the issue.

I work shifts and when I'm arriving home at 4 or 5 in the morning the headlight shines in the windows as I approach the house.

I understand the safety issue whilst riding, but when the engines running as I'm sitting at the side of the house I don't need the whole place lit up.

It would be nice to have the option.

Turn it off and on again, a bit like a computer and you're sorted. Just the sidelights remain on.

I still need the engine running though as the garage is at the top of a slope.

If the lights issue really bothers you, wire in a switch.
You'd have to find a nice location to mount it tho.

I noticed considerably less road salt and water in the mouth when I lowered my XTX by 20mm front and rear.
