If you want a light motard...go for the Husaberg, KTM EXC 525 or a Husky...:slywink:

Yep,
That's what the Yamaha site shows.... NeilSmiff |

If a driver weights 90kg than your "power gain" would be only 1.9HP and not 2.7 ! |
I thing i have to loose some weight...

Falling in the 'cuddly' weight devision would that mean I am experiencing negative power gain or power loss if you'd prefer? :confused5:
That's it. This is my last pie for the day!:naka: |

... & remember that you ain't changing the horsepower at all anyway... just the power to weight ratio. I know you're just talking figuratively but you should be talkin ratios not HP. To say it's like having 50hp is incorrect... it's like having 48hp on a lighter bike... all the things that make up your drag are goin to be the same. |
My weight as a rider is 73 kilos. But the fact is that I always keep 50 more kilos of candybars in my pockets :woo:
ok now seriously. Putting aftermarket (conciderably lighter) cans, there's more of a weight ratio moved from rear to front; right? So, apart from gaining some HP --or weight to HP ratio--, isn't the stability or at least the handling of the bike changing? If so, the good or the bad way? Just being curious. Kev ,Freez... it's your call I suppose. |
Yes ,.My bike with after market cans and some other mods made and some weight loss from the rear end conversion, my bike has more power but the top speed wobble has increaced. I thought if we could shed somehow some weight from the front end, that the front end would behave its self at top speed. Maybe even the weight out slightly. (dont no realy). Can anyone suggest how to loose alittle weight at the front end without spending shed loads of money? Or should i put a roll of lead under the seat to level it out.

You have probably already done but just in case the tool kit aint the lightest.
And by removing the starter motor . . .the bike loses a few kilos and the more bump starts you do the more weight you lose !!!! lol !!:002: |
