The weight is in the frame / forks / rear swing arm. i took my bike greenlaning last summer and got the courage to do some small jumps and all the time the bike wanted to land with the front wheel first, as it is very top heavy. never again... the experience almost scared me permanently.

You can remove the rear foot rest and hangers ,but the biggest weight saving will be when you change the standard exhausts.

I have removed my pillion pegs and was surprised at how heavy each of them are at about 3 Kilos!!! so take them both off and its another 6 Kilos of weight off the bike.
