Tenere Light Brackets

Guys,

A couple of people have asked about the steel mounting brackets fro extra lights in the last few weeks.

To remind you, this is what they look like

They are made from mild steel, primed and painted in plasticoat paint. Unlike other brackets, they do not attach to the headlight sub-assembly, but directly to the mountings in the headstock, so very stable.

They put the lights here ->

I had ceased production of these as they were no longer wanted, but with the interest in the last few weeks I am considering a production run. It's a bad time of the year to be painting these so it will take a little time.

It's November 12th today, I am going to source the necessary parts at the end of this week.

If you would like a set, or would like to register an interest please let me know. As always, XT660.com members will get the brackets pretty much at cost price, depending on the cost of materials, probably around 30. The more that want them, the cheaper the material costs will be.

By registering an interest, I'm not going to hold you to an order, at least not until I know the final cost. I'm happy to send these out anywhere in the world, subject to postage costs being picked up by the receiver.

Either send me a PM, or add a post here, I'll collect numbers and do the maths.... In the event of an over run, I'll offer them up here for a slight margin, or put them on eBay.

This is going to be the only production run for a while ( I have other projects needing attention)

I've been meaning to install some extra lights, but didn't like the design of the adv-spec too much. So if you're doing another batch of these I'm interested as well. Postage to Leuven, belgium.

The GULG-o-tech brackets are very good indeed. Much better than any off the shelf variety. Heartily recommended.

Yep - I have the same Lamps now (and for what it's worth, I wouldn't pay the money for them)

With the Vision-X the only ones worth getting IMO are the 10 degree spots (with the convex lens in the centre, not the diffuser). As GULG SAYS, the 30 degree, 15/45 elliptical and the flood just don't produce enough focused light on the road; you get a lot of scatter and glare.

I agree with the price too (in the UK). If you can get them from the US and avoid import duty (which I was lucky enough to do), they are a fair deal.

Can you recommend the lights to fit please? And where I might get them from? Cheers.. J
