Ok lads, I've gone down the windcomb route now.....
The BBQ as it was dubbed started to rust and the paint started to flake off and it wasn't nice so I pulled that idea and have done the windcomb. 1 metre length cost me 98p and the results are good. I have doubled up as I had enough so I have a row about halfway up the tunnel and a row at the top to create as much disruption to the air as possible. works a treat, looks better.... |
Was 1 metre length enough to do both rows of comb?

Also dit something similar
Hi there,
I have also solved the problem with something I made, very crude at the moment but it works. It's just a bendable plastic, so I just lift it up if I want to insert my key, that I cut into the shape you see on the pic. I just stuck some Carbon sticker on it, it's a prototype, that I have been using for a year. I have a Renthal MX bar pad and I just stick it under that, it sits tight so it has never moved or fallen out. You can feel the air being re-directed if you put your hand there. Sorry for the bad pics. http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/...pseb28736f.jpg http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5f784162.jpg http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3dd7e6d0.jpg http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/...pseb7bda69.jpg |
Reduced the buffeting
Hi all, following some of the advice and experience from this forum I fitted a Giant Loop ZigZag handlebar bag as it seemed to be the simplest solution and place to start. while it has reduced the buffeting a little bit it's not a proper solution. removing the peak from my Aria Tour X4 made the biggest Improvememt.

Hi Gibbo, what have you used to attach the grill to the handlebars and is that a GPS case you show in the pics?

Just noticed the birdcomb solution - so forget the question!
