annoying isnt it!! i really want a single can but there just too loud :(

I read somewhere about how you can fit an extra diffuser disk into the link pipe. i did email them but i recieved no reply.

maybe a dumb question but would a twin MTC setup be the same volume as a single can?

I think the cans are the same so I would expect it not to run any quieter.

:017: I would expect that if the cans are identical, then a bike with twin cans will be quieter due to the larger total volume of silencer and sound deadening material, combined with the lower exhaust gas pressure at the outlets. The question is how much quieter?

Tell me did you find it an absolute ***** to fit back the original exhaust? I got tired of the noise and fitted my original back on. I managed but Jesus christ I hope never to have to work on those two middle screws on the top of the box ever again!

ah did it once before where i had to strip the rear down and decided i'm not doing that again. so i modified the plastic heat shield so i can take them off the bike easy. then if you lossen the two capscrews with a waterpump pliers you can get the exhaust off easy.

redbikejohn 11-09-12 21:46

see below. i used a saw lade to cut the middle bit out while on the bike. it doesn;t do much as there is three screws holding it on. you also can't see this bit when its on the bike.
once these are trimmed you can get the covers off. then undo the capscrews with the pump pliers. undo the mid section bolt that holds it to the frame - this gives just enough movement to enable you to pop out the end pipe and drop the tail section off.
