Just ordered stock links from 2006 XTR that i found in local motorcycle ads for 20 euro, not bad i think... Do i need anything more except this 2 metal bone :) ?

iShoe 29-05-11 00:14

Everything arrived and its mounted on bike :) its raining like a F**K here so i cant test it...
just a quick question,
there was more then 600ml of oil originally in each fork tube, but i received only 1L of oil with springs ? is that enough?

Another thing KEV, i wanted to lower front forks for 25mm as you told me but they wer hitting handle bar :/ so i just put them on 20mm should that do the deal

also and thanks for advice on XTR dog bones, i can finally put my both legs on ground now.

20mm will be fine.

As mentioned I have a set of front progressive front springs with XTR rear links for sale at this moment for a XTX.

DAMN IT! if i sow that earlier I could save some money >:(

today i tested new springs on track! i must say that feeling is amazing... i think you sed once its like riding on rails ;) ! I can now confirm that its more then correct! Feeling is wonderful :)

Only down size is that now when i lowered bike with XTR links I'm grinding footrest holders, footrests and foot break when im driving corners >:(
ill have to return to stock height

Shift your body wait lower & lift the bike in the corners & you won't touch the pegs.

hullo.. sorry if this is a thread hijack, but are all progressive springs (hyperpro, wilburs, hagon, yacugar) all the same 'rate' (wrong terminology I'm sure..)?

i'm used to buying linear rate springs which each have a definite spring rate :S do prog springs have to be specially ordered for your weight or are they pretty much all the same?

thanks in advance :)

iShoe 07-06-11 12:10

@kev thanks ill try it next time

just to illustrate my problem :)

@sino

when i was ordering hyperpros there weren't any weight options just XTR or XTX model

sino 07-06-11 16:38

thanks ishoe.. nice pic ;)

if they're all the same "rate", I guess I might order some Hagon progressive springs along with some other stuff from wemoto. at 80 pounds ($125ish), its a bit cheaper than hyperpro ($169).

havent heard any negative comments about Hagon.. anyone here have any experience?
