Just out of interest, did you guys have any punctures and were you carrying kit to deal with a puncture if you did have one? Just putting together my kit to go but want to travel light as possible. I am aware of the issues with punctures and tyre pressures and as a result tend to keep my pressures at road levels even off roading. My tyres are TKC's with 1000 miles, give or take, on them.

Enjoying the videos. Very good.

Cheers

Hi DickyC.

I've never had a puncture out on the Plain, but know a few that have.

I carry enough kit to change a tube on the trail, but if it was a rear puncture and I was not going to spoil a ride out, then I'd call the recovery to get me home.A front tube change takes less then half an hour but the rear is a complete sh!t to do on the side of the road.

I run TKC's and MT21's depending how wet it is and both at 25 psi.

Hope you have a good trip over...

Cheers,
Andy.

Top clips Rick. Makes it clear that the trails Andy said you'd be on would have been quite suitable for my experience. Watching all those has convinced me I'll have to find my way down to Salisbury Plain soon. Thanks for posting them.

Hi Lee.

I will post up those streetmap links of the gravel byways asap, and if I tie them in with a photo, you should see what the going is like.

Cheers,
Andy.

Thanks Andy. Looking forward to having a play on the plain soon. Then hopefully I'll be able to join you all on the next ride out down there without looking like a complete basket-case :-)

However if I turn up wearing one of those big inflatable sumo suits you'll understand why

Cheers
