Thanks Andy. Looking forward to having a play on the plain soon. Then hopefully I'll be able to join you all on the next ride out down there without looking like a complete basket-case :-)
L

you won't get through Qualifying if you don't look a basket case.....:smirk:

Just out of interest, did you guys have any punctures and were you carrying kit to deal with a puncture if you did have one? Just putting together my kit to go but want to travel light as possible. I am aware of the issues with punctures and tyre pressures and as a result tend to keep my pressures at road levels even off roading. My tyres are TKC's with 1000 miles, give or take, on them.

Enjoying the videos. Very good.

Cheers

I carried front and rear tube with tools to take wheels out and trye levers also a small electric pump

Rick just out of interest what do you carry to break the bead on the back wheel?? After I picked up a rear puncture a couple of months ago I've been sorting out a more appropriate tool kit, but the one thing that eludes me is something portable to break the bead as I struggled to get the tyre off last time (ended up calling a friend who has one of those home-workshop tyre jig thingies he did it for me), but I'd like to be a bit more self-sufficient

I put the bike on the center stand, and use the side stand to break the bead.

I just lean the bike over so the side stand on the tyre and the bead breaks every time (so far, 3 tyre changes) including today just refitted my road tyres

Nice Wouldn't have thought of using the bike itself, but it makes sense.

Am I right in thinking only the back wheel has the safety ridge?
