I quite like it but not as it is.
It's way too expensive, and it's stupid to sell a bike people can't test ride.

I considered test riding the new Multistrada, but thought that was expensive, compare that to the Yamaha for value, and the Yamaha just doesn't hit the right price spot I think.

I really don't understand how anybody would buy one of these without test riding it. It's bad enough being an "early adopter" for any bike, it's crazy to buy a bike without trying, and it's completely bonkers, in my opinion, to buy one before there's been even any real reviews.

It's a shame.

I spoke to my dealer (Saunders of Knebworth) yesterday and got a delivery date for mine, 22nd June.

He told me that when he went to see the bike, he was so impressed that 2 days ago he ordered one too.

My order mumber is 70ish and his is about 290. I orderd mine on the 15th March.

I'm no genius but this suggests to me that as of about 29th March there have been 290 odd orders for this bike.

This suggests that there is a massive take up for this bike despite what the stats above suggest.

Just got back from Yamaha & saw the new XT1200.

First impressions I like it, much smaller than I thought, in fact I like it alot.

I have had mine for 3 and a half weeks and love it.
