I have fitted DNA filter and Stage 2 cover (plus leovince cans) and had bike Dyno mapped. Tested with snorkel bike was running lean.

Result is about 3 HP more after Stage 2 fitted and mapped. I didnt get test with standard filter and exhaust set up so I dont know total gain.

Once mapped the throttle response is much better and seems to need less throttle for power when needed. Slight feeling of power increase but nothing to shout about.

Bike overall runs very well feels smother and more responsive I cant say any more than that really.

Dyno guy reckons it could be more economical. We will see.

I wouldnt advise anyone to run the DNA filter and/or stage 2 without getting fuelling checked as Dyno guy reckoned it was running way too weak before mapping. (even with snorkel on) Just as DNA warn in their fitting instruction.

Nice work, any chance of a dyno print out?

Dyno chart

Blue is with Leovince cans DNA air filter and standard snorkel before mapping. PCIII was running a zero map at that time.

Red shows differecne after DNA stage 2 fitted and mapping complete.

As above the improvement can be felt and runs smooth on all throttle position.

AIS was clamped during mapping.

The dyno tuner has done a good job on the tune, not only did he get good HP gain there is a good amount of torque as well. I thought the A/F ratio might have been better a better around the 2200 to 2750rpm mark, you would have picked up a bit more power if it was a bit leaner in those ranges. The XTX & R's show a similar result.

Can you send me the fuel map, I have PM you my E-mail address, thanks.

Tuner told me he has a problem at that range you speak of as something was countering eveytime he tried to smooth it out. He also said harleys also have a similar spot in thier fuel mapping. So he did all he could and didnt miss it out. I would recommend Highland Motorcycle Dyno of Cromarty http://www.hmdtuning.co.uk/ to anyone in North of Scotland. Very thourough and freindly. And the best thing is there are some lovely roads on the way to and from Cromarty no matter where you live in Scotland. So you will be able to test the before and after properly.

Glad the Kawa O2 Eliminator worked for you, as I mentioned my O2 Eliminator is the same spec as the one you used.

Looking at the chart I notice the torque is way down at very low revs with the mods fitted.

Just wondering if this is something normal with these mods or an anomaly of some kind? If it's normal just wondering how noticable it is?

Stinky Pete 11-05-09 12:16

TQ has good increased. The dip you see is normal for a single/twin on a dyno if accelerating from lower rev range. It is showing the bike overcome the dyno force. You can see in dyno video clip I posted tuner covers clutch in case of stallout and you can hear engine labour before accelerate. Other charts that dont show this dip are usually when revs have not dropped so low.

I don't see any loss in torque, the dyno run should be read from 2500rpm not before. The results all depend on when the dyno tuner starts the run & in this case is at 2500rpm.

Well done StinkyPete, I think you might be the first one who actually got the Tenere dynoed. I would be curious to know from your future feedback on fuel consumption, any savings or losses. I hope your Tuner is right that it actually saves some, but would like to see hard evidence. Also, I presume you don't mean less vibration on the handlebar when you say it feels smoother, right? Meanwhile, enjoy your new dynoed bike!
