It's a cot.....
I have visions of a hairy bloke in a massive nappy wandering around a camp field. ![]()

I don't like sleeping on the ground. Sandman knows his stuff. Its a mini camping bed, expensive I know, but on a long trip worth lugging it around.

I looked at the cot when I went on a trip last year but opted for an Exped Downmat 9LW coupled with a good sleeping bag and a Thermarest techblanket for when a sleeping bag would be too warm.
The Exped mat is top kit but rustles a bit when turning over in your sleeping bag. It was mega comfy though and got good nights kip for doing long riding days. The ultralite cot has feet which I thought may be a problem when camping on stony ground. I didn't want to risk damaging the tent groundsheet too much. The prices are worth paying for comfortable nights though. Everyone is different though and different sleeping habits, physical attributes and wallet sizes all come into the equation so there is no one answer for a comfy night. Each to their own.
