Powercommander + TPS problem

Hello dear readers,

I have a 2005 XT660X with Leo's and a BMC airfilter mounted. All worked fine but I wanted to get rid of the well known on-off effect when riding at low throttle openings. So I bought a Powercommander 3 USB (412-411 type) and plugged it in. (I've studied the installation manual in detail so all three connectors should be in the right place, as is the connection to the battery I guess.)

The problem with the powercommander installed: when I turn the key, it says on the display there is an engine problem with error code 15 (problem with the TPS, I read from the service manual). The strange thing is that when I unplug the TPS-connector of the powercommander and re-install the TPS-connector from the ECU, the error message is gone. When I enter diagnostic mode (01) and read the values for the throttle openings, they are fine with the standard TPS-connector plugged in (closed = 16, fully open = 98) but it remains zero when the TPS-connector of the powercommander is plugged in.

As the ECU jumps to 'safe mode' when it encounters this TPS problem, the value of the throttle position gets a fixed value for safety reasons, so it's no longer possible to run the 'set throttle position' tool in the powercommander software (I wanted to try this to figure out if this would fix the problem).

The rest works fine: readings of RPM and Duty cycle in the software are ok. Mappings can be sent to and read from the powercommander. The set throttle position tool can be opened and all the lights on the powercommander itself seem to work properly.

Has anyone encountered this problem as well and found the solution? Or is my powercommander really not good?
