Brake pads

Hey folks my front brake is getting tired. Any tips on a particular make on brakes? Or should I stick with stock Yam ones. Cheers

EBC brakes either standard or the HH sintered.

But ive noticed that in the last couple of thousands miles my XTR is using up the front pads alot more, weather its my riding now got harder due to the better weather.

I tried a few different types on my R and found the original ones lasted a lot longer than all the others so worked out cheaper in the long run

I have tried most of the different brands & have had noisy brakes to brakes that don't last & are bad in the wet. I now only use the OEM brake pads.

I have been getting mine from Greece off Ebay as they are far cheaper then buying them from the dealer in Australia, at almost half the price.

You'll have to check the part number out - not sure to be honest

Got the part number

Hiya, looking at the manual the part number for mine is 5VK-W0045-00. I think the number for the X pads is ID2-W0045-00. Not sure if they are the same part? Maybe Kev knows.

Kev,

Are the pads the same for both X and R models?

Spacer working nicely by the way
