Tenere tilt switch

I've heard that the tenere has a tilt switch to switch off the injection if it tips over.
I'm planning on doing some green laning and would like to know, what you have to do to restart the bike after it has been over?
Thanks

All the XT have it, not just the Tenere, ideally you straighten the bike up turn the ignition on and off and it should be fine.

Well that's bizzare. I've had my Ten running flat on it's side, even got it on video!

I'm wondering why you'd have a tilt switch on a bike with a semi-dry sump?

There's nothing in the owners manual or the workshop manual about it.

Ive had my XTR running on its side 2 times, 1 time when i had a wee slide down the road on the ice and the other when i hit a transit van. Both times the engine stayed running which seems wierd, maybe my switch is not working!!!

Try 'lean angle' sensor.

When triggered there is a engine management light on the dash that flashes. Turn ign off and then on again, and it should fire up.
At times my XTZ needs a reset like this if the engine is stopped by the kill switch.

Timpo.

Ah! found it in the workshop manual - still nothing in the owners manual though!

Looks like I've got a defective one, no worries though I never liked trusted them anyway
