Crash Helmet
I am after a new helmet as the one I have does not seem up to the consistent wet weather we have and leaks water over my face.
So any recommendations on a new lid thats quite and does not leak would be appreciated. Andy |

If you after a full face helmet I have the Shark RSI and have found it very quiet and absolutaly fine in the rain. Especially if you wear a neck warmer as well I have found wind noise perfectly acceptable even on a naked bike (most wind noise on it comes from under the helmet).

As are all Moto X lids, including the Marushin. I'm not bothered about noise either TBH - means I can hear the CCC's better, when I am I simply put me plugs in me lugs

I have owned many of the forementioned and must admit the arai is one of the best looking but is very noisy compared to some of the others airoh s4 and marushin are a lot quieter,if you have the money go for a shoei hornet if your after the adventure look ,or even look for a full face or flip up

I looked at the AGV S4 but it didn't fit my head right so in the end I went with the one that fit best which happened to be a 99 Caberg Trip. It's a fighter pilot style flip-up, has an extra sunglasses/shade bit you can lower with a switch on top and I've no complaints so far. They seem to be very common actually - I was grabbing a cuppa at Bahnstormers (BMW dealership) mid-ride and the guy on the next table had one, then a guy arriving on a big beemer was wearing one too.

I too have a Tour-X, and it is very noisy - but a pair of plugs deal with that.
I was talking to a guy who had one of the Tour-X 3's the other week, they look a bit more 'busy' that the simplicity of the other variants, but apparently the noise problem ahs been reduced considerably. He then went on to drop it on the floor.... ...... busting the top vent....
