OTR Rally Raid Fairing

Does anyone have the front Rally Raid fairing and what is it like? It's a lot of wedge but I'm sure I can justify it if I try hard enough...

Come on, own up...who wants one of these.....

Anybody have this, I'd be willing to put out the cash for it if it's good ? Are there any other fairings like this around?

As far as I know, this is the only rally-raid fairing for the XT.
Looks a lot like LC4 adventure though

I'm also very keen to find out if it's any good.

I raised my whole light fairing/assembly 70mm. Even with the Yamaha tall screen, i still get it in the face.

A little hint for some screen extenders. I havent tried this on XT, but on my previous bike, I bought another original screen, cut it in half and used 1inch spacers to extend the screen for a couple of inches. It worked surprisingly well. I think the gap between the two screens also helped out somehow.

i think thats all to do with air flow, basically if you put a massive screen in front of your face the air will flow over the top of the screen but will then create a suction effect after it and this is what most people feel and complain about when they have massive screens. This is the reason why so many screens have holes or gaps at the bottom to allow a bit of air flow in to distort this suction meaning you get a better, nicer ride. This is what you did with your spacers but with out knowing it.

In addition to the suction behind the screen being uncomfortable it also creates lift which will make the front of the bike feel light at speed.

maxwell123455, i knew it but i didn't know how to explain it. I was just told that using spacers helps the buffeting instead of just raising the screen up. thanks for the explanation
