Prices for H&B rack for the Z

Hey gang.

Not sure if this is old news. Anyway, it was news to me, so I figured I'd let you guys know.

Just brought home the '08 catalogue from Hepco and Becker. And whadda ya know; they've allready got a rack for the Z.

http://www.hepco-becker.de/_eng/frameset.php

On the website, as you can tell, there are no prices. So I've listed the price here in Euros. Bare in mind, that these are the prices in Denmark. When I called H&B directly, they said that the price may be quite different from country to country. But they should give you an idea of what pricerange we're talking.

Art 6504526.0001 (sideracks): 222.512 Euro

Art 6504526.0101 (luggage rack): 83.911 Euro

Art 502405.0001 (engine crashbars): 206.963 Euro

Art 5054526.0001 (center stand) : 184.577 Euro

Once you've got the racks, you can place pretty much any H&B pannier on it. So I haven't listed the price for those since that is subject to personal preference.

On a sidenote; they've now got engine crashbars for the R for the '07 and onwards models (the one with the annoying lambda probe).

Torsten

PS/Edit: Sorry the link is not working properly. They're using php so I can't guide you to the correct link. Just go here http://www.hepco-becker.de/_eng/wahlHersteller.php and choose Yamaha, then XT 660 Z Tenere, to see what products are available for that specific bike.

The rack is available this month or early september. It's the lock-it system, which means you can remove the rack if you go offroad riding. Note: if you plan to carry alu panniers on the rack, you'll need the alu pannier adapter kit, partnumber 700.201, costs about 30,- euro's. Greetz, Hans.

Do you know if they've got pics showing the gear on the bike? I'm not too fond of buying things if I don't know what it look like.

Not as yet, but it will look like a XT660R fitted with alu panniers. It'll be easy to fit, because the bike is prepared to have racks. I've ordered a H&B rack, as soon it has ben fitted I'll post some pics. With and without panniers, so you can see the details. Greetz, Hans.

I visited my dealer today and they told me the delivery of the rack is again delayed: now it's probably end of september(bummer!). Greetz, Hans.
