XT660z Tank bag
I have now got my Khaki Tenere and the tank is the most peculiar shape. I would like to have a tank bag with map pocket but none of my old bags will be suitable. Has anyone seen or know of one which may be suitable? I hope to get to the meet this weekend and am struggling for carrying capacity as I do not have the panniers yet. Any help will be appreciated. Cheers Steve

Oxford do a lot of tank bags for bikes like the Dominator and the Transalp, have a look here

p.s. I hope you don't mind me moving this thread out of the newbies forum and to the more appropriate one... Cheers |

Thanks for that I will have a look around some of the shops up here but time is running out. I'll have a look In Leeds in the morning and over at Peterborough on Friday. I have mounted my GPS but still like a map in front of me.
Apologies for the mail but I'm still working my way around the site and couldn't find where to start a new thread. PS Stickers look great ![]() |

Touratech sent me a flier advertising their up-and-coming XTZ stuff for later this year. You could start hassling them for products (although, TT being TT don't hold your breath). I assumed that Bagster would have been straight on this, they're usually pretty quick with new models aren't they?

I know its not a Tenere tank bag but how about this
http://www.off-the-road.de/xt660_gepaeck.html?&L=1 (the first tank bag in pictures, price i think was normally about 80-90 or so) its designed for the XTR and i got one from another forum member (FM)secondhand and its great. Is big enough for the odd bits and bobs when not expanded but when expanded still shocks me a bit by the amount you can fit in. Straps to the bike quiet good as the XTR's tank is mostly covered in plastic. The only downsides ive got at the moment are it doesnt come with a rain cover even though it seems to be quiet waterproof so far. Once the tankbag is zipped off it doesnt have 2 schoolbag type straps, but has a good heavy duty single handle or a 1 shoudler strap, and the last this is the plastic see through top can not take an A4 page with out some of the corners being turned up/cut. Bit nit picking but thats my opinions. Overall its a good bag but i wouldnt pay the asking price for it new. (Im a cheapo as well by the way)

Thaks for that guys. I went over to Leeds today and got a Hein Gericke Tuareg tank bag that looks as though it will fit and a Roll bag so I shall see how I get on. The bike is locked up at a mates house at the moment so I'll see how they fit tomorrow. Mind you the bloke at the shop said that they would swop the tank bag if it was no good or give me my money back, cannot say fairer than that!
