Wavey discs
Has anyone put wavey discs on their bikes and if so what brand and what do you think too them?

I have ended up fitting a rear disk brake made by
BRAKING for 2 reasons, 1) because my old one was completely worn out and 2) cause I happened to visit a bike show and they were selling them cheap at show price. What do I think of them? Absolute waste of time, they wear out twice as fast as the original one and guess what? They are supposed to brake better but there is no difference at all and they are should cool down better than standard disks, but its not true, if I stop after a ride the disc is so hot I could sizzle bacon on it and fry a few eggs on it too. Conclusion: I should have known better and so next time I will stick another Brembo back on it.
At least that is my personal impression of them, to me they are just fashion item that have made no improvement on the performance whatsoever. |

I have the Braking Wavy's on my Honda Hornet.
Must say that those discs with HH compound pads that brake power is great. I'm looking for some brake upgrades for the XTX (had is for like 50km) and the brakes do not have as much bite as I would like..... |

I'm looking for braking discs too for my XTX for both front and rear. Although I really like the Braking Wave discs, I've read that they do not long last and they get really hot. Do they have to be used with braking pads? Has anyone fitted so that he can tell? On the other hand, I looking at the EBC discs, but I've read that they are not so good. The OEM discs are cheap compared to the above brands and a good tested solution, but expensive to what they trully are and offer. So can anyone suggest any good discs for the XTX? What about Brembo?
