Tough call man.
To be honest I like the standard Metzler Tourance. They are the allround tyre but with a preference on tar road. But since they're not on your list, I'll skip sweetalking them . Of the other tyres you mention I only know the TKC80. Dispite their offroad appearence on first glance, they are extremely durable on tar. Most "offroad" tyres have a soft composition and wear down in no time on tar. But the TKC80's seem to take to the tar surprisingly well. And they not only look the offroad part, they also handle it well. Due to the knobbly conture of the tyre, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you lose quite a bit of contact with the road when driving on tar. With your preference to tar, I'm not sure TKC80's would be your best choice. Eventhough they can handle the rought treatment. But whatever you do; don't buy the Metzeler Sahara 3's. They're not good on tar (allthough it's do-able), wear down exTREMEly fast, and perorm only just above par on dirtroad and sand/mud for which they were actually designed. They're quite cheap. I guess now I know why . As I said, I don't know the others. I'll be following this thread with interest to see what others come up with. About mid summer, it'll be time for me to change my Tourance tyres, and I'd like to give something else a try too. Best regards Torsten |

If you live in Greece i take it most of your off roading will be on dry type off roading?
The only tyres ive used are the TKC80's. They where good on the road and where very grippy in the dry (toe down) but in the wet as with any off roading tyre they seemed very nervous and a bit too much throttle made the rear spin to easy. The TKC80's gave good milage (front after 3kmiles) only looked run in, rear was shot (mostly tarmac, motorway driving). They handled ok off road compaired to full on out and out motox tyres, but i found a good compremise between road handling and off road. The others ive not used.
