For those of you that saw the pictures of my bike with it's dangling chain while I was riding around Scandinavia you'll be releaved to hear that, not only have I got a new set of chain and sprockets but I've also fitted a scottoiler.
I've put about 1100 - 1300 kilometers on the new chain and it's as good as new.

Here are a few pictures of where I located the unit, how I've run the pipes and how I've connected the feed to drip onto the chain.

1. Just a wide angle view to see how it looks...its quite inconspicous.

2. A close up...the unit sits snugly above the exhaust (and no, the small amount heat from the exhaust seems to have no effect whatsoever on the unit or the viscosity of the oil).

3. I fed the oil feeder tube under the seat and under the offside cover and popped it out at the bottom onto the swing arm. I used an odd P-Clip to fix it to the swing arm protector (the white clip) and just used zip ties to hold the delivery pipe onto the underside of the swing arm.

4. OK, the delivery point shouldn't be pointing at the sprocket nut like that! It sould be 1.5cm lower dripping onto the edge of the black rubber ring that sits around the edge of the sprocket. I find plastic ring does not impede the oil delivery at all and may even help spread it around a bit.
I only have a single delivery tip but the chain gets well coated. For those of you looking at the crap on the back wheel and wondering if the setting is too high...this is actually the chain lube I was spraying on the last chain. I just haven't got around to cleaning the bike since I bought it )

5. Finally the vacuum connection. The scottoiler uses a vacuum to turn on the flow so you don't end up with a big slick every time you park. This taps into the pipe coming off the fuel injector (which I assume is used to turn on the flow of fuel from the tank).

Reasonably easy and quick to fit. With a jaunt into Northern France and the South coast of England under its belt I'd give it a 10/10.
