Teething Problems

After a couple of hundred miles on the new bike i have discovered a couple of small faults that hopefully someone knows the answer to. A couple of times today I appeared to not engage a gear all three times it happend was between 4th & 5th. It was strange as it was simelar to hitting neutral on your way up the box (dont deny it we have all done it). The other was the infamous surging. Is there a simple fix for this? How do i find out if my ecu needs replacing under warentee? All help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry missed that, didnt make it in time, will have a look at the number when i next go out to my bike. Is the surging the ecu as well then, not just the cutting out?
