Modding for touring

Picked up the new (to me!) XTR on Friday and have been getting in some enjoyable mileage this weekend.

I've bought the bike primarily as a little touring machine with a bit of rough terrain capability. Thought I'd post some piccys as I kit her out with this in mind. Picture number one...fitted the sat nav and, as the XT is much smaller than the BMW R1150GSA I was intending to tour on, I thought I'd better set up a way to load the tent on the front giving me extra space and better distributing the weight.

Hope this works...my first time posting an image
Just waiting for the luggage to arrive from Germany...

Glad to see you have bought a bike and that you are starting to kit it out. I hope all goes well with the luggage, I am trying to decide which luggage to get for my new bike (I am not a huge fan of the Suzuki (Givi) luggage).
